I want to share the heart behind Flostate — because this isn’t just a studio. It’s a love story.

As a child, I spent a decade in a back brace, allowed only two hours of freedom a day. In that small window, I found liberation through movement. Pilates, dance, and swimming didn’t just strengthen my body, they saved my spirit. Years later, I created Aerial Pilates | AP2™ : a practice that floats like swimming, strengthens like Pilates, and expresses like dance. It’s the movement I longed for as a child, the one I now offer to others.

Flostate is also a response to my child’s nervous system. During their panic attacks, touch was too much. So I wrapped them in fabric and gently lifted them into suspension, held but not held down. In that weightless stillness, their body softened. That moment showed me a new kind of healing, one rooted not in force, but in presence.

Flostate is born from that presence. It is a space for reconnection, to the body, to breath, to safety. A space created from love. And I believe with all my being that anything created from love is built to endure, to evolve, and to heal.

This is your one wild and precious body we're working with. It deserves reverence.

XO, BROOK
