My dear friend, Cecily Mak, has been such an inspiring woman and guiding force in my life. She has written a book meant to be shared— so I am deeply honored to share it here.
Cecily is one of those rare souls who lives her truth with courage and generosity. A POETS GIFT
I finally worked up the courage to ask my favorite poet to write something just for this space—something that would live here forever. And WOW, did she deliver. When she sent it and asked if I wanted anything changed, the answer was easy: not one word.
Tiffanie DeBartolo is an artist, a visionary, a full-on badass female boss bitch (yes, that’s literally what her card says ), and a dear friend I love deeply. To read the whole poem, you’ll have to come into the space—but here’s a taste of her beautiful words:

Jean Bolte is one of those incredible humans who makes a place feel warmer just by being in it— an extraordinary artist, a true heart, and someone I am lucky to call both a client and a friend. Jean is donating her time and magic to Flostate through a special mural, and it is such a gift!!
We are so deeply at home knowing her talent, spirit, and care will live on through these walls.

LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHER SPOTLIGHT
I somehow won an hour photo shoot with the one and only Sarah Alderman for this website, which feels a little like winning the lottery but with better lighting. She is an insanely awesome human, and having her capture this space and my team was pure joy—we all absolutely love her. And listen, getting your photo taken is not always fun… but with Sarah? It actually is—plus you have to check out her wedding photography. We truly cannot recommend this artist and human enough.
