Brian teaches Embodied Yoga every other Monday at 6pm
BRIAN GONZALEZ
Originally from San Francisco, Brian arrives through a global, in-depth study of Advaita Vedanta, Vipassana, Zen and Theravada Buddhist traditions, including an extended monastic stay as a Buddhist monk in Thailand. He completed his yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India and has since returned to India and Southeast Asia to deepen his study of Buddhist meditation, Vedic texts, and the non-dual teachings of Ramana Maharshi.
Brian teaches Embodied Yoga, a dynamic, dance-like, intuitive flow that invokes the natural intelligence of the body and invites self-inquiry into our true nature. His training in the embodied style is shaped by his teacher Praveen Nair.
As a continuation of his contemplative work, Brian brings the same attention to honesty, love, and human flourishing into his daily life and work. He sees life as inherently spiritual, not requiring specific clothing, practices, or forms to recognize, embrace, and live in harmony with what is.
